Now is the time of year to complete and wrap up the year. One way to do that is to focus on completions of all kinds. Clean your closets, kitchen cabinets, garage drawers and under the bed, releasing anything that doesn’t support who you are becoming. For example, I like to go through my closets regularly and ask:
• Do I love this? NOT “ what does it go with” or “how much did I spend”, but do I really love it?
• Am I willing to care for it? Am I willing to do what’s necessary to keep it hemmed, buttoned, cleaned?
• When I look at it (try it on, use it), do I feel lighter, and do I feel good wearing this?
Many of my clients have said that completing this time of year creates tangible open space for creative ideas and projects in the new year. We encourage you to schedule some time every day, (even 10 minutes a day will make a difference), for this valuable activity and start 2010 open and ready to go.
